SONO M610
ULTRASONIC THICKNESS GAUGE

TECHNICAL DATASHEET
ACCESSORIES

NOTE! This instrument can measure the thickness of the tested material while ignoring the lacquer or other protective coat.

The SONO M610 ultrasonic thickness gauge is a microprocessor control system used for fast and non-destructive measurements of components accessible from one side, made of:

  • steel
  • aluminium
  • Al alloys
  • Cu alloys
  • plasticks
  • glass
  • etc.

Metrison Certificate of the Calibration included.

  • The SONO M610 thickness gauge offers:

  • advanced technology
  • material thickness measurement ignoring the protective coat of under 1 mm
  • material thickness measurement from 1 to 199.9 mm
  • thickness measurement with lacquer ignored, from 2 to 199.9 mm
  • PC interoperability
  • memory storage of 1999 results and measurement statistic
  • field and lab work (battery and grid powered)
  • small size and low weight

Thickness gauges have industrial and service applications. They are ideal for measurements of structures accessible from one side, such as:

  • walls of vessels and tanks
  • pipes
  • pipelines
  • boilers
  • ship hulls
  • industrial structures

Thickness gauges can take measurements of vessels containing hazardous substances, pipelines, boilers and pressure vessels without having to shut them down, and support measuring probes with wires up to 50m in length, making it possible to use the instruments in explosion hazard zones, (use in explosion hazard zones after obtaining the certificate).

    Accessories

Additional equipment facilitating work with the METRISON instruments offer top quality and ease of use.

Transport case for the SONO thickness gauges and ULTRAMETR coat thickness gauges ensures secure transportation and storage.

Field cases for the SONO thickness gauges, ULTRAMETR coat thickness gauges.
These sturdy cases provide reliable protection of instruments against mechanical damage and weather conditions. The instrument carried in a case guarantees the operator freedom of movement, and safe work at high altitudes or in other places where special care is required.

Every case has room for complete accessories of the instrument, i.e., the probe and power supply - charger.

The W-3 Standard is used for graduating the time base for longitudinal waves in order to test thickness of materials from 2 mm to 10 mm.
